Our School Newsletter

Dear Parents and students,

On behalf of our teachers we would like to extend our thanks to you, for your commitment and co-operation in the smooth running of the tamizh classes. We have successfully completed our second academic year now and are very pleased to see our children showing great progress in learning Tamil.
We are very glad that all our current cohort of children have successfully completed and moved on to the next grade. We will continue to build on their progress, and we look forward to another productive and great year ahead.

We would also like to inform you that Mrs.Meenakshi Gopinathan will be the new Principal and Vice Principal will be selected soon.
A humble request to parents:
● Attendance: We expect the students to attend the classes regularly. Students missing classes find it very difficult to catch up with the rest of their group and make poor progress in learning Tamil.
Atleast 80% attendance is a must. If the children do not have satisfactory attendance,
they may not be able to sit the end of year assessment and likely to stay in the same
grade for the next academic year.
● After the class, please vacate the school premises by 8.50 pm. Kindly avoid parking
on both sides of Norris Road, as it causes traffic congestion. Please use the two
school carparks or park on the kerbside adjacent to the school.
● We are constantly looking for volunteers to teach/ help in running the Tamizh school.
If you are interested, please get in touch with us.
Have a lovely summer. See you all on 20th September at 7.15 pm
● Each year based on the decision taken by the committee Tamil school will celebrate Pongal or Tamil new year during the academic year.
Anbudan,
Admins of Semmozhi Tamil School.
