Dear parents and students,

We are delighted that you are a part of our Semmozhi Tamil School family. And on behalf of all our volunteers, we extend our warm welcome to you. The school had a fantastic academic year 2024/2025. Congratulations to all the students who are successfully completing this academic year and our sincere thanks to all the teachers who have made this possible. We will continue to build on our work and look forward to another productive year ahead.

Inset day. The Tamil lessons will commence from Friday 12/09/2025 at 7:00 pm. Classes will be conducted at Sale High School, Norris Rd, Sale M33 3JR between 7:00 pm to 8.45 pm.

Executive Committee:

We are pleased to inform you that Mrs. Poornima Mohanakrishnan will be our Principal and Mrs Aruna Adhiyaman will be our Vice Principal for the academic year 2025 / 2026. 

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Mrs. Swarna Mukhi Ramaraju for leading the school as the Principal during the last academic year.

Fees:

Fees for the new academic year 2025/26 is £195 per child. This fee will cover their tuition fee and book costs. Fees for spoken class is £150 per child.

In spite of the inflation and rising rental costs, we have tried very hard and kept the fees the same as last year. Kindly pay it asap by bank transfer ( DEADLINE – 31/08/2025).

Choir:

We hope you have enjoyed our Semmozhi Tamil School’s Choir performance at the Annual Day, if you or your child is interested to participate in the choir please email us. Kindly note that there will be a small additional fee to join the choir.

Attendance:

We expect the students to attend the classes regularly. Students missing classes find it very difficult to catch up with the rest of their group and make poor progress in learning Tamil. Students are expected to come to the lesson on time at 7:00 pm start. Latecomers will be marked and it will impact their attendance score. At least 85% attendance is a must. If the child does not have satisfactory attendance, they may not be able to sit the end of year assessment and are likely to stay in the same grade for the next academic year.

School Pickup:

Please be available to pick your child by 8.45 pm and vacate the school premises by 8.50 pm. There will be no adult supervising your child after 8.50 PM. If you are delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, please arrange a cover for pickup and/or inform your child’s teacher.

Parking:

Kindly avoid parking on both sides of Norris Road as it causes a lot of traffic congestion. Kindly make use of the two school car parks of Sale High School.
